According to tradition, Om is the fundamental sound from which all forms in the Universe have arisen. Om is a Sanskrit character, expressed in English by three letters (aum), but pronounced as a single syllable, known from the Vedas, which is also found in Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism and Sikhism, symbolizing the absolute.

Om is also called the Divine Sound, the manifestation of the supreme spiritual power - the primordial sound that was the impetus for the creation of all forms. All the signs and forms of the universe (including our world) have arisen from this one single primordial vibration of the universe.

The signs of this syllable represent the three worlds by three curves: the physical, the spiritual and the world of the unconscious. The dot represents the supreme consciousness that connects and controls these three worlds.
